Kupwara: The citizen soldiers of Kupwara celebrated Eid ul-Fitr with great enthusiasm and unity at Pathahirri. Eid ul-Fitr a festival of religious sanctity marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is a significant occasion for Muslims around the world.
The celebrations involved prayers, feasts, and community gatherings. The soldiers of Citizens Army stationed in the area also took part in the festivities, strengthening the bond between the local population and army. The celebration displayed traditional rituals such as offering Eid prayers at mosques, sharing special meals with troops, brother officers and men including Commanding officer of 160 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H).
The event also became special as parents and guardians of new recruits were also invited to bless their siblings. The involvement of parents in celebration foster the sense of community and support, showing solidarity with the local people and celebrating the spirit of Eid together. It is a moment of joy, peace, and togetherness for everyone involved. The Indian Army unit following the traditions of soil remained committed to its cause of knowing the pulse of Awam in North Kashmir.
