New Delhi, Mar 27 (JKNS): The Indian Army has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NSIL/ADRIN for the design and development of precision targeting software “Location Awareness & Knowledge-Based Solution for High-Resolution 3D Layer Archive for Precision Targeting” (LAKSHYA-PT).
As per details available with JKNS, LAKSHYA-PT is an indigenously designed and developed software aimed at enhancing target acquisition with sub-decameter accuracy. The system, based on indigenous satellite imagery, offers a cost-effective and innovative solution for strengthening the sensor-to-shooter link.
Officials said the software will reinforce the Indian Army’s efforts toward integrating advanced technology in warfare, ensuring low-cost, high-impact precision targeting under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The initiative marks a significant step in the Army’s modernization efforts, leveraging homegrown capabilities to enhance operational effectiveness in precision targeting. (JKNS)
