Shopian: Jammu and Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) – UMEED, in collaboration with AYUSH Shopian, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp exclusively for women Self-Help Group (SHG) members.
The initiative was sponsored by SPVLG Artisans Foundation under Project MAMTA, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by J&K Bank.
The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to SHG members, ensuring their well-being and promoting preventive healthcare measures.
A team of experienced doctors and medical professionals from AYUSH Shopian conducted free health check-ups, consultations, and distributed necessary medicines. Women availed various services, including general health check-ups, gynecological consultations, and awareness sessions on nutrition and holistic well-being.
Representatives from JKRLM (UMEED) Shopian emphasized the mission’s commitment to holistic development, integrating livelihood support with healthcare and social welfare. AYUSH Shopian officials also reiterated their dedication to providing quality healthcare services to the rural population, particularly women.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from SHG members, who expressed their gratitude for the initiative. Many attendees benefited from expert consultations and appreciated the awareness sessions on health and wellness.
