Three Food Units Booked for Poor Hygiene in HMT Industrial Area

Srinagar: The Food Safety Department Srinagar has booked three manufacturing units for violating sanitary norms during surprise inspections at Zanakot Industrial Area, HMT.

An official told news agency JKNS that the inspections were conducted under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din, and led by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Srinagar, Yameen Ul Nabi.

“Three units producing bakery items and sweets were found operating in insanitary conditions and have been booked under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Challans will be submitted to the Adjudicating Officer,” the official said.

The team also educated Food Business Operators on maintaining hygiene and following strict safety regulations to protect consumer health.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din has assured continued inspections across the city, warning that strict action will be taken against violators. (JKNS)
