Srinagar:- There is no proposal between the government to establish a law college in South Kashmir .
Replying to a question of MLA Zafar Ali Khatana, Education Minister as per news agency JKNS said that there is no proposal at present to establish a Law College in South Kashmir or to introduce law subjects in Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Further, Law is not offered as a degree program in colleges. Law degree is a professional qualification that requires a distinct academic structure, different from the four-year degree programme currently offered in colleges of the Higher Education Department.” She said.—(JKNS)
