JKSCST Corporation Organizes Awareness Camp in Pulwama to Promote Self-Employment Schemes

Event highlights low-interest loan schemes for marginalized communities; officials urge broader participation

Pulwama: The JK Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Ltd., in collaboration with the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi, organized an awareness camp at Patalbagh, Pulwama. The event saw significant participation from individuals belonging to backward classes, with the primary aim of raising awareness about self-employment schemes.

Speaking at the event, Mehmood-ul-Haq Gundroo, Deputy General Manager (Kashmir), highlighted various low-interest loan schemes designed to support marginalized communities, particularly those from backward class categories. He reiterated the Corporation’s commitment to empowering individuals and urged attendees to avail themselves of these schemes while also spreading awareness for a broader impact.

Mohd Maqbool Ganie, District Manager, Pulwama, delivered a detailed presentation on the Corporation’s schemes for establishing income-generating units, with special emphasis on education loan schemes. Other dignitaries present included Nisar Ahmed Mir (Sarpanch), Nusrat Bashir (Community Mobiliser, Rural Department), and Irshad Ahmed Dar (Member, Kissan Advisory Board). They shared their views and encouraged participants to take advantage of these opportunities to ensure wider outreach and benefits.

Information brochures and handbills were distributed during the event. Concluding the session, Mohd Maqbool Ganie expressed gratitude to the attendees for their cooperation and support.
