Construction of College Building at GDC Eidgah in Full Swing: Govt

Srinagar: The government on Thursday said that construction of the college building at GDC Eidgah Srinagar is in full swing and the construction is expected to be completed very soon.

In a written reply to a question, tabled by MLA Mubarak Gul regarding construction of degree colleges, Minister of Education Sakina Masood Itoo as per news agency JKNS said, that the construction of the college building at GDC Eidgah is progressing well and will be completed very soon.

The reply further reads that the issue regarding one part of land towards East-South at Saidpora, which belongs to the college, is subjudice.

“In order to prevent any encroachment of the college land, DPRs for construction of compound wall, main gate, and bio-fencing around the college have been formulated and the department is exploring the possibility to initiate these projects during 2025-26 under Capex Grants,” the reply reads. (JKNS)
