Srinagar,:- The wages of NHM employees were revised from 15 to 17 percent during the year 2021-22, Govt said on Tuesday.

Replying to a question of MLA Vikram Randhawa as per news agency JKNS Health and Medical Education Minister said that the National Health Mission (NHM) in Jammu and Kashmir is fully funded by the Ministry of Health Band Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India. Any salary adjustments for NHM employees ,in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly to bridge the salary gap with employees in other states, must align with the policies set by the Central Government.

 

“Therefore, such changes require prior approval from the Central Ministry to ensure compliance with the NHM’s objectives and budget allocations.” She said.

 

“With the prior approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the wages of all the NHM employees in J&K were revised from 15% to 17% during the year 2021-22 with a 5% increase given annually to the employees.” She said.—(JKNS)
