Srinagar: The Iqbal Institute of Technology and Management (IITM) Srinagar is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Abdul Gani as its new Director. With over 35 years of academic and administrative experience, Prof. Gani has served in key leadership roles at two central universities, a state university, and an international institution, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Throughout his distinguished career, Prof. Gani has held pivotal positions at Central University of Kashmir (CUK), where he was the Founder Registrar, Dean of Business Studies, Director of R&D, and even served as Officiating Vice-Chancellor on multiple occasions. His contributions also extend to the University of Kashmir, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), and the Arab Open University in Saudi Arabia, where he played a significant role in advancing academic and research initiatives.
A highly decorated scholar, Prof. Gani is the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including the US Fulbright Fellowship, Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowship, and UK Open University International Fellowship. His academic influence spans the globe, with guest lectures at leading institutions worldwide, over 75 research papers, numerous books, and presentations at major international conferences.
As Director of IITM Srinagar, Prof. Gani is committed to elevating academic excellence, strengthening industry partnerships, and aligning the institution with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. With his expertise in curriculum development, research leadership, and institutional growth, he is poised to lead IITM into a new era of innovation and academic distinction.
