Shopian,: Under the guidance of Director Ayush, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah, and the valuable support of Dr. Javaid Ahmad Wani, a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening drive was conducted today at AHWC Khurampora, Shopian.
The event, organized by the Medical Officer, Khurampora aimed to raise awareness and encourage early detection of non-communicable diseases within the local community.
The screening drive saw enthusiastic participation from the residents, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in promoting preventive healthcare and enabling timely interventions for various health conditions.
During the drive, 90 individuals were screened for hypertension.Additionally, 60 people underwent diabetes screening.
The newly diagnosed individuals will undergo a follow-up screening after one week.
