GDC Frisal organizes awareness program on new Criminal Laws

KULGAM, MARCH 15: Govt Degree College (GDC) Frisal today organized a public awareness program about the three New Criminal Laws in collaboration with Tehsil office Frisal, Block Frisal, Municipal committee Frisal, within the College premises, ehre.
The program began with the address by the Principal of the College, Dr. Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah. He emphasized on the relevance of these three new criminal laws in the modern era.
Javaid Iqbal, Tehsildar Yaripora /Frisal highlighted the structure and importance of Indian Penal Code. DEO, Ishfaq Ahmad talked about the code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC) investigation and trial along with FIR and investigation process.
Dr. Shahbaz Ahmad, Lecturer (Deptt. Of Political Science) mentioned the challenges in law enforcement and role of public officials in criminal laws. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat, Lecturer (Deptt of Political Science) discussed the three newly introduced basic criminal laws, and how these laws were launched to modernize India’s Criminal Justice System.
The program was attended by the faculty members and students of the college, Z.E.O Yaripora, members from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Revenue Department, Members from MC Frisal and other officials. The civil society members were the important part of the program.
