The summit will bring together over 120 engineers from across the globe to exchange insights, discuss innovations, and collaborate on strategies to enhance infrastructure and environmental sustainability.

The week-long event will focus on leadership, infrastructure, and readiness, with experts presenting current projects and advanced methodologies aimed at strengthening the Indo-Pacific region.

A renowned figure in Kashmir’s engineering community, Er. Nissar Lala has made remarkable contributions to civil and environmental engineering.

At the summit, he will present his groundbreaking research on monitoring urbanization using satellite data and deep learning algorithms.

His work explores how land cover changes influence flood behavior in urban areas, a critical issue exacerbated by climate change.

Er. Nissar emphasized the importance of his research, stating that data on the rate and impacts of urban development in developing regions remains scarce.

He hopes his findings will help bridge this knowledge gap and contribute to more effective urban planning and disaster resilience strategies.

The summit will see participation from key allies and partners, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom.

This global gathering underscores the significance of collaborative engineering efforts in addressing climate change, infrastructure resilience, and security in the Indo-Pacific region.

Organizers have reiterated that no single country can ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific alone, highlighting the necessity of international cooperation.

Er. Nissar Lala’s selection for this summit is a proud moment for India, particularly for Kashmir, as his expertise and research are set to make an impact on an international stage.
