Jammu: Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of Ward No. 52 to take stock of the peoples’ grievance and their developmental needs.
At Ambedkar Nagar Extension, Trikuta Nagar, the locals met with the Commissioner and projected their grievance. The residents demanded augmentation of the drainage system to prevent water logging during the rainy season.
Acknowledging their grievances, Dr. Yadav directed immediate demarcation of the nallah(s) to facilitate execution of widening work. He also urged upon residents to remove encroachments along the Nallah, if any, which obstruct its cleaning and maintenance.
Deputy Commissioner (South), Lal Chand and Joint Commissioner Works, Firdous Ahmed Qazi, besides other senior officers of the JMC accompanied the Commissioner during the tour.
