ACB Registers FIR Against Former Junior Engineer in Disproportionate Assets Case

Srinagar,: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar has registered an FIR against a former Junior Engineer of the Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Pulwama, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets.

An official told news agency JKNS that an FIR against Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, former Junior Engineer of the Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Pulwama, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets.

 

Bhat possesses substantial movable and immovable assets, along with significant cash deposits, in his name and that of his family members, official said.

 

Verification revealed these assets were disproportionate to his known sources of income, leading to the registration of FIR No. 04/2025 at ACB Police Station Srinagar, they said.

 

Under the supervision of SSP Javid Hassan Bhat, searches were conducted at Bhat’s residences in Pehlipora Safapora, Ganderbal, and Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.

 

Incriminating material, including revenue papers and financial documents, which have been seized as evidence. The investigation is ongoing, offical said. (JKNS)
