Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has achieved a significant breakthrough during an area domination operation conducted by Police Station Bijbehara in Pazalpora area.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AV-1235 was intercepted at a surprise naka near Pazalpora crossing on the old NHW and upon searching the vehicle, 1.75 kg of Charas Powder was recovered, adding therein that the driver namely Tajdar Amin (known drug peddler) S/o Mohd Amin Khan R/o Karewa Colony, Bijbehara was apprehended along with his one associated Bilal Ahmad Yatoo S/o Gh Hassan Yatoo, R/o Gund Nasir, Pazalpora.
Stating that the vehicle was seized and a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bijbehara Police in its statement further said that investigation is underway. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that reiterated its commitment to intensify its crackdown against the drug menace for ensuring the safety and well-being of the people.
