e-FIR Registered at Police Station Mandi, Poonch

Poonch:-Poonch Police has registered an Electronic First Information Report (e-FIR) in connection with a land dispute and a scuffle between two parties.

An official told news agency JKNS that the complaint was received at Police Station Mandi via WhatsApp, filed by Sitra Bi, wife of late Mohd Ashraf, resident of Chella.

The e-FIR (No. 13/2025) has been registered under sections 126(2)/115(2)/329(3)/125/351(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation has been initiated to ensure justice and maintain law and order in the area.

Poonch Police is also actively raising awareness about new legal provisions and encouraging the public to utilize services such as e-FIR and Zero FIR.

These initiatives aim to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in the justice system, especially in remote and rural areas of the district.
