No Plans To Make Job Forms Free, 3,727 Vacancies Referred Out of 32,474: Govt

Collected ₹14 Cr in Job Fees Since Oct Last Year

Srinagar:-: The Jammu and Kashmir government has collected a staggering Rs 14.17 crore in job application fees from aspiring candidates in just over three months.

A question raised by Sajad Gani Lone as per news agency JKNS, revealed that the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) amassed Rs 5,72,96,650 and Rs 8,44,86,600 respectively, between October 16th, 2024 and January 31st, 2025.

The question also sought details on the total number of vacancies in various departments and whether the government intended to make job application forms free for aspirants.

The house was informed that there are 32474 vacancies in different departments as on January 31, 2025 that includes 2503 gazetted vacancies, 19214 non- gazetted vacancies and 10757 multi-tasking staff vacancies.

3727 vacancies have been referred to Jammu & Kashmir Service Selection Board and Public Service Commission since October 16, 2024 when the elected government led by Omar Abdullah took oath.

Of these, 738 are gazetted posts, 1754 non-gazetted posts and 1235 multi-tasking slots. (JKNS)
