GCOE Jammu organizes one-day awareness workshop on “Three New Criminal Laws”

Jammu : Psychological Counselling Cell of Government College of Education (GCOE), Jammu organized a One-Day Awareness Workshop on “Three New Criminal Laws”.
In her opening remarks, the College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar, emphasized the significance of such awareness programs in equipping educators, students, and professionals with updated legal knowledge.
The workshop aimed to provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of the newly enacted criminal laws and their implications on legal proceedings and public administration. The event began with the formal welcome address presented by Dr. Ambica Kumari, Convenor Psychological Counselling Cell and HOD Psychology.
The Resource Person was Farha Nishat, Dy. SP Headquarters Jammu. She shared valuable insights on law enforcement perspectives regarding the new legal framework. Tehsildar Jammu Paramjeet Singh highlighted the administrative and procedural aspects of the legal refor , Sr. PO DPO Nitish Sharma elaborated on the prosecutorial and judicial implications of these legislative changes.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Sonam Gandotra, HOD ICT.
