DC Kishtwar reviews progress under Holistic Agriculture Dev Prog (HADP)

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Thursday convened a meeting to review the progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.
Nodal Officer HADP (Chief Agriculture Officer), Amjad Hussain Malik presented an in-depth report on the programme’s implementation.
He informed that a total of 19,760 applications seeking schemes benifits have been received across agriculture and allied sectors. “Of these, 14,484 applications were approved, including 10,616 in Agriculture, 1,052 in Horticulture, 1,870 in Animal Husbandry, 717 in Sheep Husbandry, 207 in Sericulture, 19 in Fisheries, and 3 in the Marketing sector, by the District Level Committee (DLC)” he added.
During the review, the DC emphasized the significance of enhancing registration of eligible persons across the district. He directed field officers to intensify efforts to broadbase the scheme outreach.
The review also included an assessment of the physical and financial progress in key sectors, including Horticulture, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, and Animal Husbandry.
The DC further set new targets for the stakeholder departments, urging them to ensure continued progress in the saturation of the program and to achieve top rankings in J&K .
The DC also set the target of 2,500 registrations on the Daksh Kisan Portal and 8,000 on the Kisan Sathi Portal. Other targets included addition of more farms to the KKG app.
The review meeting was attended by CPO Shahnawaz Bali; Chief Horticulture Officer Sajid Mustafa; District Sheep Husbandary Officer, LDM, DAO, DDM NABARD, Area Marketing Officer and other officials from the agriculture and allied sectors.
