SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishar Gupta today chaired a meeting of concerned officers for effective implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) and Nasha Mukhta Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in the district during the ongoing year year.
Nodal Officer, DSWO Shopian on the occasion apprised about the calendar of IEC activities with diverse range of activities and put forth the same for implementation.
DC sought effective and result oriented action from stakeholders on both these themes and instructed for conduct of collaborative and extensive mega awareness campaigns across the district.
He also directed weekly reports of Drug Control inspection of pharmacies while directing for enhanced inspections of pharmacies across the district.
Collaborative, extensive awareness campaigns by Education, Social Welfare, Health, NRLM and DLSA and others were emphasized for better results in terms of awareness and impact.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr.Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, CEO, CMO, DIO, STO, DSWO, CDPO, DYSSO, Drug Control Officer, DPM, NRLM, Co-ordinator SHEW, Representative of DLSA among other concerned.
