Poonch: A driver was killed, and two CRPF personnel were injured after boulders hit a Scorpio vehicle near Dherian Ziarat on the Surankote-Poonch Highway on Thursday evening.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the driver was killed while two CRPF personnel were injured. The incident occurred due to continuous shooting stones in the area.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot, but the driver had already succumbed to his injuries, while the injured CRPF personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, official said.
Authorities have launched an operation as stone shooting continues, posing further risks to commuters. Travelers are advised to exercise caution while passing through the affected stretch. (JKNS)
