Panchayat Level IEC Campaign against Drug Abuse draw enthusiastic participation across Distt Kishtwar

Kishtwar: The ongoing Panchayat (Village) Level Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign against Menace of Drug Abuse has drawn overwhelming participation from all stakeholders of society across District Kishtwar.
The weekly awareness events were organized on Monday across all 13 blocks. The grassroots level initiative recently launched aims to raise awareness against the devastating effects of substance abuse and to mobilize community participation in the fight against drug addiction.
As part of this sustained effort, awareness drives are being organized at panchayat level every Monday, ensuring continuous engagement with local communities including residents, students, and community leaders.
Designated officers and Nodal agencies hosted programmes at various locations, wherein Intensive IEC activities were organized to generate awareness among the participants.
The activities included the debates, symposiums, motivational storytelling, distribution of awareness pamphlets, announcements and sharing of the success stories by the saviours, besides Socio-legal implications of the Abuse.
The events were attended by government functionaries along with students, teachers and community leaders.
