Srinagar: As part of the Civic Action Programme 2024-25, Police in Handwara on Saturday inaugurated a T20 knockout cricket tournament at Bakiahaker Cricket Ground. The event was inaugurated by the wife of Martyr Ct Mohd Rafiq Bhat, alongside SSP Handwara Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary, DySP DAR, SDPO Handwara, and other senior officers.
During interaction with the players, SSP Handwara highlighted the J&K Police’s commitment to promoting sports. He emphasized that such initiatives channel positive energy among the youth, foster a competitive spirit, and contribute to good health, steering individuals away from negative influences. He also assured continued support for similar events in the future.
