DC Poonch reviews pending court cases across different deptts, directs HoDs to submit reports on pendency

Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal chaired a crucial meeting on Saturday in the Meeting Hall of his Office Complex to review the latest status of pending court cases across different departments.
The meeting focused on cases awaiting resolution in the subordinate courts of District Poonch, as well as in the High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), National Green Tribunal (NGT), National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and Central Information Commission (CIC).
The Deputy Commissioner requested comprehensive briefings from the concerned officers regarding the current status of these cases. The District Litigation Officer delivered an in-depth presentation, detailing the department-wise and court-wise latest status of pending cases.
During discussions, specific cases pending for replies from various departments were examined in detail. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to expeditious justice, DC Vikas Kundal emphasized the urgency of filing replies for outstanding complaints and directed all concerned departments to submit reports promptly. This is crucial for legal vetting by the Law Department before final submissions are made.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in handling court cases. He directed all officers involved to uphold the highest ethical standards and prioritize the community’s best interests in these legal matters. He encouraged a knowledge-sharing approach among departments to strengthen their legal capabilities and contribute to the overall development goals of Poonch district.
The meeting was attended by several key officials, including ADC Poonch, ACD, ACR, SDM Mendhar and Surankote, Tehsildar Haveli, District Litigation Officer, CEO MC Poonch, and other concerned officers.
