Chief Justice inaugurates Lawyers Chambers at Court Complex, Katra

REASI: Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Tashi Rabstan, today inaugurated Lawyers Chambers at Court Complex, Katra, in presence of Justice Mohd Akram Choudhary, Administrative Judge for Reasi district.

While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice said that the Bench and Bar have a huge role in reposing faith in judiciary and justice delivery system. He said “people come to the court with high hopes considering the courts as ‘Temple of Justice’ where justice would be meted out to them”.

While interacting with the members of Bar and Bench, the Chief Justice said that the chamber practice is a platform that provides legal services and are helpful for the younger advocates in putting their career as successful lawyers. He also asked the concerned to focus on maintenance of the court as well as the lawyer’s chamber and road towards Katra Court.

While inaugurating the Lawyers Chambers, the Chief Justice laid emphasis on the bar being the equally important wheel in the chariot of Justice. He said that equal infrastructure would be provided to the respective Bars that would not only boost their morale but attract the best talent on the other side of the bench.

The Chief Justice also inspected various sections of the Court Complex and gave certain on spot directions regarding further streamlining of the entity.

Principal Secretary to Chief Justice, M. K Sharma; Principal District and Sessions Judge Reasi, Suresh Chander Katal; CJM Reasi, Geeta Kumari; Secretary DLSA Reasi, Pooja Gupta; Sub-Judge Katra, Sidhant Vaid; Munsiff Katra, Vishal Bharti; President and members of Bar Association Reasi and Katra were also present on the occasion.
