DC Kupwara reviews progress of ICDS Department

Directs for saturation of E-KYC, Adhaar, ABHA within a week’s time

KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today took a comprehensive review of the functioning of ICDS Department in a meeting of concerned officers and officials held here at Conference Hall of D. C Office Complex Kupwara.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the ICDS is a major sector which is linked with the welfare and upliftment of children and women and impressed upon the officers and field functionaries to work with added dedication and coordination to ensure saturation of all targets under the Poshan Schemes.

She stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure saturation of the targets which include E-KYC, Adhaar/Mobile linkage and ABHA verifications.

She directed the officers to mobilize their field staff to intensify the door to door survey and ensure coverage of all pending beneficiaries so that the benefits under different schemes are timely disbursed to them.

On the occasion, District Programme Officer Kupwara, Hakeem Tanveer presented a detailed powerpoint presentation and briefed the chair about various targets and achievements made by the department in the district.

He informed that 90147 beneficiaries are enrolled by the department for E-KYC including Adhaar verification, mobile verification and ABHA verification.

Under PMMVY, it was informed that 5806 beneficiaries (both 1st child & 2nd girl child) have been enrolled by the department during the current year which constitutes achievement of 97.51% target.

DPO Kupwara, Hakeem Tanveer; CPO Kupwara, Parvaiz Ahmad; CDPOs, Supervisors and other field functionaries of ICDS department were present in the meeting.
