DC Kulgam presides mega public grievance redressal camp at Yaripora

KULGAM: As the part of weekly Block Diwas initiative, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan presided over a mega public grievance redressal camp at Yaripora to address public issues, grievances and demands.

The event witnessed massive participation from residents of Home-Shalibug, Yaripora, Nunmai, Yamrach, Dasen, Munadguffan, and other adjoining areas.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Viqar Ahmad Giri, Joint Director Planning (JDP) Zahid Sajjad, Tehsildar, Executive Engineers from various executing agencies, and other officers were also present at the grievance redressal camp.

During the camp, public delegations and individuals raised various developmental needs including the installation of solar lights, construction of car parking in Yaripora, staff augmentation at the Sub-District Hospital (SDH), desilting of irrigation canals, augmentation of drinking water supply and various other developmental requirements of the area.

On the occasion, DC passed directions to the concerned departments for addressing the issues of immediate nature at the earliest.

He assured the gathering that all concerns and demands were duly noted for further necessary action as per feasibility and norms.

He stated that the purpose of these grievance redressal camps is to directly engage with the public, ensuring precise and on-ground assessment of issues for timely resolution.

Regarding the ongoing works in the area, DC directed concerned officers for completion of works within given timelines. Meanwhile, he also reviewed the action taken to resolve issues highlighted by locals during last Block Diwas.

The participants were informed regarding various beneficiary schemes and were urged to avail benefits offered under various schemes.
