Karnah: In a proactive effort to ensure uninterrupted road connectivity for residents of remote villages, SDM Karnah personally monitored the snow clearance operations on the crucial Baghballa-Nagina road. The route, which links villages Jabdi and Bijaldhar with the Sub-Divisional Headquarters (SDH) Tangdar, had been blocked due to heavy snowfall, cutting off essential access for the local population.
Jabdi and Bijaldhar, situated approximately 38 km from Tangdar HQ, rely on this road as their lifeline for transportation, healthcare, and essential supplies. Understanding the urgency, SDM Karnah took charge of overseeing the snow removal process, ensuring a swift and coordinated response by multiple agencies responsible for maintaining different sections of the route.
According to officials, the stretch from Baghballa to Copra falls under the jurisdiction of Project Beacon, while the Copra-Toli section is maintained by the Army Engineering Wing. The remaining portion from Toli to Jabdi is covered under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The collaborative efforts of these agencies played a crucial role in restoring connectivity amid challenging weather conditions.

Residents expressed their relief and gratitude for the timely intervention, emphasizing how critical road access is during the harsh winter months. The SDM reassured the public that the administration remains committed to maintaining connectivity and responding promptly to weather-induced disruptions.
With snowfall continuing to pose challenges in the region, authorities have urged residents to remain cautious while traveling and to coordinate with local officials for real-time updates on road conditions.
