DC Budgam reviews implementation of AMRUT 2.0 Water Supply projects for towns

Budgam: District Development Commissioner Budgam, (DDC) Akshay Labroo, today conducted review of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 water supply projects in the district.

During the meeting, threadbare discussions were made on the progress of various approved schemes under AMRUT 2.0, highlighting key developments and challenges.

DDC assessed the status of projects across all urban areas of the district and emphasized the need for timely and efficient execution to ensure that every household receives safe and adequate drinking water.

It was noted that  tenders for AMRUT 2.0 water supply projects have been evaluated for the towns of Budgam, Beerwah & Khansahib towns.  While tender is under technical evaluation for Magam town & DPRs are under preparation for Chadoora, and Charar-i-Sharief towns.

DC stressed the importance of expediting the implementation process while adhering to the prescribed guidelines. He urged all stakeholders to resolve any bottlenecks and ensure seamless execution of the projects.

DC also focused on strategies to address challenges faced during the implementation phase, with a focus on enhancing coordination among departments for smooth project completion.

He  reaffirmed commitment to providing clean and safe drinking water to all urban households in Budgam district and directed officials to ensure swift execution of the projects under AMRUT 2.0.

The review meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer Hydraulics Circle Budgam, Executive Engineers of the PHE Department, DESO Budgam and other concerned officials.
