Srinagar: Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir Nasir-ul-Islam has expressed grief and sorrow over the devastating fire in Sonamarg, which caused massive losses to the trader community.
In a statement issued to news agency JKNS, Chairman of the Muslim Personal Law Board and Grand Mufti, Nasir-ul-Islam, said, “Such tragedies not only bring financial devastation but also leave lasting emotional scars.”
“My heartfelt sympathies are with the affected traders. I urge the authorities to take immediate steps for their relief and rehabilitation,” he stated.
He assured full support to the victims and called on the community to stand together in this difficult time.
“It’s a tragic loss for the business community. We stand together with them,” he said. (JKNS)
