Sopore: Authorities sealed the operation theatre of Hakeem Sunnuullah Private Hospital following alleged surgical negligence, ADC Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina said.
Speaking to media persons, ADC Sopore Shabir Ahmad Raina as per news agency JKNS said, that based on received information, a patient was scheduled for ear surgery, but the doctor reportedly removed the uterus.
All concerned departments, including health and district administration, are investigating the incident. Notices have already been issued to the hospital management and doctors involved in the surgery. Appropriate action will be taken after their reports are received.
“As of now, we are not fully aware of what exactly happened, but based on the available evidence, we found it necessary to seal the operation theatre,” he said.
“The administration and DHO ma’am are with me; we have sealed it. We want better healthcare services for people, and in cases of negligence like this, action will be taken,” he added. (JKNS)
