DIG SKR Inaugurates New SOG Camp in Anantnag

Anantnag: Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range (SKR) Javid Iqbal, along with SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, inaugurated a newly established Special Operations Group (SOG) camp at Chittergul Uttrasoo, Anantnag, to enhance security operations in the district.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, to enhance security operations in the district, DIG SKR Javid Iqbal, along with SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy inaugurated the newly established Special Operations Group (SOG) camp Chittergul Uttrasoo Anantnag.

The establishment of the new SOG camp is aimed at strengthening the security framework in Anantnag district and improving the operational efficiency of security forces, it reads.

The new facility will enhance the ability to address security challenges more effectively and rapidly respond to any emergent situation.

DIG Shri Javid Iqbal, in his address, highlighted the importance of modernizing and strengthening security infrastructure to tackle the evolving security situation. He expressed confidence that the new SOG camp would play a vital role in maintaining peace and order in the district, statement reads.

SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy also underscored the significance of the initiative, stating that it would further improve coordination and response time for security forces, ultimately benefiting the local population by enhancing safety.

The inauguration was a step forward in reinforcing the commitment of Jammu & Kashmir Police towards ensuring a peaceful and secure environment in the district, it reads.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by SP Ops Anantnag Shri Furqan Qadir, SP Hqrs Anantnag Sajad Ahmad, ASP North camp Aishmuqam Gh Hassan and other senior officer of district Anantnag were present on the occasion, reads the statement. (JKNS)
