76th Republic Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervor in Tangdhar and Tithwal

Tangdhar Karnah :The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal in Tangdhar and Tithwal, reflecting unity and national pride. The celebrations commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Shakti Vijay Brigade War Memorial, where Brigadier S.K. Pradhan, VSM, Commander of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, paid homage to the sacrifices of the nation’s brave soldiers. In a unique gesture of community involvement, a senior porter hoisted the National Flag at the Brigade Headquarters, symbolizing solidarity and respect for the contributions of the local population.

Flag hoisting ceremonies were also conducted at various Battalion bases and Army Goodwill Schools in Hajinar and Tithwal, spreading the spirit of patriotism across the region.

The Karnah Bowl witnessed an overwhelming display of national spirit as students and youth organized National Flag rallies, showcasing their deep commitment to the nation. A grand celebration at Azmat-e-Hind, near the Line of Control in Tithwal, drew a crowd of over 500 people, including more than 100 ex-servicemen. The event featured captivating cultural performances by students from AGS Tithwal and Hajinar, who showcased patriotic themes intertwined with the region’s rich cultural heritage.

This year’s celebrations also included an impactful anti-drug campaign on social media, which saw participation from 80 students, with 26 of them receiving recognition for their outstanding efforts. The campaign reached over 1.5 lakh viewers, effectively spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse among the youth.

Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Pradhan extended his heartfelt Republic Day greetings and encouraged the youth to pursue excellence in academics and follow their passions. He expressed gratitude to ex-servicemen and the local community for their unwavering support and highlighted their shared commitment to the progress and security of the nation.

The Republic Day celebrations in Tangdhar and Tithwal exemplified the region’s enduring spirit of patriotism, unity, and commitment to national development.
