NYK Unit Baramulla and Traffic Police Bandipora Conclude Traffic Awareness Rally In Sumbal to Mark National Road Safety Week

Sumbal: The Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Unit Baramulla, in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department Bandipora on Thursday concluded a traffic awareness rally at Sumbal Sonawari area in Bandipora district as part of the National Road Safety Week observance. The rally witnessed active participation from locals and drivers, highlighting the importance of traffic rules and road safety.

The rally commenced from Irrigation Colony Sumbal and concluded at Sumbal Bridge. During the rally traffic officials inspected vehicles and educated drivers about essential traffic rules, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Speaking to the media, NYK Representative Hussain Zalpori emphasized the rally’s objective of raising awareness among residents, particularly drivers, about road safety. “The main focus of this awareness rally is to educate the local population, especially drivers, about traffic rules. We urge everyone to avoid overspeeding, ensure proper documentation, and prioritize road safety at all times,” Zalpori said.

The initiative was well-received by the community, with many appreciating the efforts to enhance road safety and reduce accidents. The event marked a significant step toward fostering responsible driving habits and ensuring safer roads in the area
