Lineman Dies Days After Receiving Electric Shock in Srinagar

Srinagar: A 55-year-old line man who suffered an electric shock while on duty at a receiving station in Soura Srinagar on January 11 succumbed to his injuries on wednesday.

An official told news agency JKNS that, a 55-year-old lineman who suffered an electric shock while on duty at a receiving station in Srinagar on January 11, has tragically passed away at SKIMS Soura today.

The deceased, identified as Bilal Ahmed Shah, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah and a resident of Ahmadnagar Buchpora, succumbed to his injuries today after battling for over 10 days in the hospital.

The incident occurred while Shah was performing his duties in the outdoor yard of the receiving station, where he reportedly came in contact with a live wire. (JKNS)
