Srinagar: Police in a major breakthrough have seized a large consignment of illegal drugs transported through a courier service in Srinagar.
Police on Tuesday said that on reliable information, a search was conducted at the premises of Shree Maruti Courier Service located in Karan Nagar, Chota Bazar area and successfully seized a large consignment of illegal drugs being transported through a courier service.
They said the searches were conducted after following due legal procedures, resulting in the recovery of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs including Mavrix-T Codeine 220 bottles, Spasmoproxyvon 15 boxes (7 strips per box) and Pregabalin 60 strips.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 01/2025 at Police Station Karan Nagar under relevant sections of the law.
Investigations are underway to trace both the forward and backward supply chain of the seized consignment, Police said, adding, a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused involved in this trafficking network.
