Shopian: On the theme of ‘Say No to Drugs, Yes to Sports & Fitness,’ the District administration Shopian in collaboration with J&K Sports Council is going to organise District Level Competition in Cricket.
The competition named Heemal Naegrai Dixon Ball Open Cricket Tournament shall start from 26th January, 2025 on the occasion of Republic Day, blending the idea of Nasha Mukht Bharat with National Brotherhood and Cohesion.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar conceived the idea, showing District Administration’s commitment in engaging youth in productive and beneficial activities for tackling the issue of drug menace.
Novel Sports competition shall be open for the age group of 15 years above, and all teams of District Shopian have been asked to participate in this knock-out cricket tournament.
Come and Play, Shahid Saleem appealed to the youth of the district and register on the link shared.
