DC Srinagar finalizes Action Plan for implementation of Novel Natural Farming in distt

Srinagar: In order to finalize Action Plan for first of its kind Novel Natural Farming for the year 2025-26 in District, a comprehensive meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Srinagar, and other District level Officers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed threadbare the Action Plan for successful implementation of Natural Farming in District Srinagar.
He said that the initiative of Novel Natural Farming will pave way forward for sustainable growth of Agriculture without harming the natural environment.
The DC impressed upon the officers Officers to ensure effective and successful implementation of Natural Farming programme as per the scheme guidelines.
During the meeting Chief Agriculture Officer Srinagar gave a detailed a power point presentation on the subject.
He informed the meeting that the natural Farming is a sustainable method of Farming which encourages use of natural inputs available at the farm including FYM, Agniastra, bejmitraetc and natural methods of disease,pest and weed control.
He added that, the natural Farming also encourages production of on farm natural agri inputs and discourages use of all the chemical based inputs.
