DC takes stock of patient care scenario in GMC Rajouri

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, conducted an extensive visit to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri on Saturday to review the functioning of the facility and assess the quality of healthcare services being provided to the public.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various wards, including the emergency, general, and maternity wards. He interacted with patients and their attendants to understand their experiences and identify areas requiring improvement. The feedback highlighted key concerns related to patient care and service delivery.
Expressing the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services, DC Abhishek Sharma directed hospital authorities to address shortcomings, if any. He further urged the hospital management to maintain hygiene standards, ensure timely medical attention, and strengthen grievance redressal mechanisms for patients and their families.
He also inspected the availability of essential medicines, staff presence, and the operational status of medical equipment to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
