Jammu: Jammu Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 40 bottles of illicit liquor, in a Sandwan operation, cracking down on illegal liquor trafficking.
Team BPP Sandwan under I.C BPP Sandwan apprehended Vikram Singh, son of Beer Singh, a R/o Smailpur, Jammu. The police confiscated 40 bottles of JK Desi Whisky (180 ml each) found in his possession.
An FIR has been lodged in Police Station Domana under relevant sections, and investigation is under progress.
The public appreciated the police for acting promptly and firmly in taking steps to reduce the sale of illegal liquors in this locality. Laws are kept in order.
