Srinagar: The Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone V.K. Birdi on Monday urged the officers to remain vigilant to chalk out strategies to overcome security challenges in the valley.
He emphasized the need for proactive security measures to strengthen the security grid in order to ensure hassle-free upcoming events in the valley.
The IGP during a review meeting held in Srinagar on Monday reviewed the preparedness and arrangements put in place in view of the winter season and the upcoming events.
He urged the officers to remain vigilant and maintain robust coordination among various sister agencies to chalk out strategies to overcome security challenges
IGP Kashmir emphasized the need for proactive security measures to strengthen the security grid in order to ensure hassle-free events.
IGP Birdi also reviewed the security measures put in place for the security of vital installations and domination of highways.
He directed the senior police officers to ensure smooth traffic movement, especially during the festival days.
He stressed upon the officers to ensure the surveillance of anti-national elements and to increase area domination in their respective areas.
The meeting concluded with the resolve to ensure safe and peaceful conduct of all the forthcoming events in the valley.
