Rajouri: Police in Rajouri have arrested two individuals with 18 grams of heroin-like substance.
“The arrests were made during routine frisking at the Naka Point Salani. A police team from Rajouri apprehended the two individuals, who were moving under suspicious circumstances. Upon their personal search, the drugs were recovered,” a police spokesperson in a statement issued to the news agency JKNS said.
He said, the arrested individuals have been identified as, Vaneet Sayal, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Androla, Ward No. 04, Salani and Sourav Kumar, son of Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Muradpur.
He said, an FIR No. 544/2024 has been registered under Sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rajouri. Both individuals are in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing.—(JKNS)
