Police organises 03-days workshop on NDPS Act in Kulgam

Kulgam: Police in Kulgam organised three days workshop on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for GOs and NGOs at DPO Kulgam, with the aim to enhance the knowledge and skills of police officers in investigating and prosecuting NDPS cases effectively.

Deputy Director Prosecution AKS Shri Ghulam Jeelani Dar along with Public Prosecutor (CPO District Kulgam) Shri Ajaz Ahmad Najar and Public Prosecutor (Court Qazigund) Shri Abdul Bari delivered detailed briefing on various aspects of NDPS act and related laws and procedures to all GOs, SHOs, IC PPs, IOs of Kulgam police.

SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS present in the sessions urged officers present to refine the investigating skills and to update their knowledge with latest techniques and adopting standard operating procedure during investigation of narcotic drugs (NDPS Act) cases to secure maximum conviction and emphasized the importance of effective enforcement of the NDPS Act to curb the menace of drug abuse and trafficking.
