PCPG Meeting held at Hallan Kulgam’s Qazigund

‘Police Address Public Grievance’

Kulgam: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was organized on Monday, December 16, at Hallan Gujjar Basti in Kulgam district, aiming to strengthen the relationship between the police and the public.

According to a statement issued to the news agency JKNS, the meeting was chaired by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal and attended by ASP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, SDPO Qazigund Rameez Ahmad, and SHO Qazigund Masood Ahmad, along with prominent citizens and civil society members of Hallan.

It reads as, various public issues, including road connectivity, water supply, and other essential services, were discussed in the meeting, all grievances were heard attentively, and participants were assured that these concerns would be forwarded to the relevant departments for resolution.

Similarly, SSP Kulgam, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of such meetings in fostering trust and cooperation between the police and the community. He assured the public that these interactions would continue to promote better policing and transparency,” reads the statement.

Notably, the attendees praised the police for organizing the event and assured their full support in addressing societal issues, including combating social evils. These meetings are expected to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between law enforcement and the community, contributing to effective governance and improved public service delivery, reads the statement further.—(JKNS)
