DC Srinagar chairs Distt Valuation Committee meet, Finalizes annual stamp duty rates, market value of land for year-2025

Srinagar: In order to finalize the process of revision of Market Value proposed for the year 2025, a meeting of District Valuation Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat here at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex on Saturday.
At the outset, the DC took a thorough review of the proposals submitted by the member of the Committee for revision of annual stamp duty rates and the market value of land, buildings, and other immovable property within the District.
The DC also discussed threadbare the procedure and parameters adopted in formulating the proposed rates in the District. The Committee members briefed the DC about the procedure followed to analyze the rates, providing the area/village-wise percentage changes for incorporation in the year 2025.
The DC emphasized the importance of adhering to established criteria for rate fixation and stressed for a classification of the rate structure based on area categories to ensure fair and accurate finalization of the stamp duty rates for the District.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed AhamdKataria, General Manager DIC, Superintending Engineer R&B, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, District Panchayat Officer, Town Planner H&UDD and Divisional Forest Officer besides others concerned.
