Srinagar, Dec 12: The third phase of the Orientation-cum-Refresher Course for in-service physical education staff officially began on Wednesday at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex and Bakshi Stadium, here.
The program, organized by the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Srinagar, aims to enhance the skills and expertise of physical education professionals across a wide range of disciplines, including Wushu, Taekwondo, Judo, Karate, Weightlifting, Pencak Silat, Boxing, and Thang Tha.
The training, scheduled from December 12 to December 23, 2024, is engaging 75 officials from the Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Department.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Srinagar, Ghulam Hassan Lone, after inaugurating the courses highlighted the importance of updating skills and techniques in various sports and games to meet modern standards.
He encouraged participants to embrace innovative methods to improve their approach to sports education and training.
The training took place across multiple venues, including the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Gindun Ground, and Bakshi Stadium.
Such initiative reflects the professional approach of the YSS Department in empowering its officials with the latest knowledge and tools to foster excellence in physical education and engagement of young blood in games and sports.
