Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting two accused involved in the commission of crime and recovering stolen property from their possession here in Sopore.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that police Post Bus Stand received an application from one Mohammad Yousuf Shah S/o Abdul Gani R/o Seelo Sopore, stating therein that during intervening night of 7th and 8th December, some unknown burglars looted his Kiryana shop at Seelo Sopore following which case FIR No. 251/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sopore besides initiating investigation.
Police in its statement further said that during the investigation, some suspects were called for questioning following which investigating team with strenuous efforts and by using all available means zeroed in on two suspected identified as Ubaid Shafi Hajam S/o Mohammad Shafi Hajam R/o Seelo Sopore and Faisal Ashraf Shah S/o Mohammad Ashraf Shah R/o Wadoora Payee who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime. Police in its statement furthermore said both the accused were arrested and, on their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to eliminate social crimes from the society and appealed people to share information of anti-social elements with it.
