Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Srinagar and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Nawhatta during Naka checking near Islamia College apprehended one Haris Farooq S/o Farooq Ahmad R/o Hakabazar Badamwari under suspicious circumstances and during search, recovered Spasmo Proxyvon capsules from his possession.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 56/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Nowhatta besides initiating further investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society, reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
