Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Health Department at the V.C room of DC Office, Ganderbal.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ganderbal, Dr. B.A. Khan, presented a detailed overview of various health indicators and Centrally Sponsored schemes under the National Health Mission (NHM).
The DC conducted an in-depth review of critical health department indicators, including ABHA ID Generation and Healthcare Professional Registry (HPR), monitoring of District Public Health Laboratories (DIPHL), HB testing for lactating and pregnant mothers, enrollment of senior citizens aged 70 and above under PMJAY.
While reviewing these indicators, the DC emphasized achieving 100 percent ABHA ID and HPR generation and directed continuous monitoring of DIPHL and Common Collection Booths (CCB).
The status of staff strength across various health institutions was also discussed. The CMO was instructed to initiate the process of filling vacant positions promptly.
The DC also set a deadline for completing HB Testing for lactating and pregnant mothers by the end of December. Strict directions were issued to ensure 100 percent enrollment of senior citizens aged 70 and above under PMJAY.
He reiterated the importance of robust implementation and monitoring to strengthen the health infrastructure and services in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Medical Superintendent DH Ganderbal, Medical Superintendent SDH Kangan, BMOs, DPMU Ganderbal, and other concerned officials.
