DDC B’gam reviews status of JJM

DC calls for early completion of all ongoing JJM projects for adequate drinking water supply

Budgam: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Monday conducted review of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
Status was put forth before DDC on the occasion regarding various aspects of the scheme, and progress made in various major and minor schemes approved under JJM.
DDC along with key officials and stakeholders, undertook a detailed evaluation of the mission’s progress and future plans within the district.
He emphasized the need to expedite the implementation process and ensure that all eligible households receive tap water connections as per the mission’s guidelines.
The review meeting also discussed resolution of teething issues being faced during the implementation of the mission.
The DDC directed all concerned officials to address any bottlenecks promptly and ensure the expeditious completion of ongoing projects.
He emphasized on the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders to accomplish the mission’s targets effectively and within the stipulated timeline.
Detailed sub-division wise review was conducted by the DDC on the progress of works approved under JJM, Har Ghar Jal Certification, Monitoring of Water Quality assessment and community mobilisation.
On the Occasion, the DDC also reviewed progress of works covered under Amrut 2.0 for urban areas in the District, and evaluated the stage of its implementation across towns of Budgam.
It is pertinent to mention that special AMRUT 2.0 Water works have been approved for Budgam town, Beerwah town & Magam town.
The DDC also directed KPDCL Budgam to ensure expeditious completion and augmentation of transformers and power connections to all water plants across Budgam.
He also reviewed the works being undertaken by Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Budgam under JJM in the District.
Besides, all Executive Engineers of PHE department, Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Budgam, DESO Budgam, all AEEs, all JEs and other concerned officers and officials were present in the meeting.
